Fiora, lovingly known as FeeFee, is a delicate little Mini Poodle who has perfected the art of quietly slipping into your heart before you even realize she’s done it. She’s the shy girl who peeks around corners, thinks about trusting you for a solid five seconds, and then decides maybe—just maybe—you’re worthy of one tiny kiss delivered when you aren’t looking. She’s cautious, thoughtful, and a world-class hider, especially in new environments where she briefly imagines herself as an Olympic escape artist. But beneath that timid first impression is a gentle, goofy sweetheart who is slowly learning how wonderful it feels to be safe, silly, and loved.
Fiora absolutely adores her foster fur siblings - they’re her built-in bodyguard, roommate, and emotional support fuzzball. They help tell her, “It’s okay, Fee, the humans are actually pretty nice,” while Fiora nods, gathers her courage, and then sits close enough to share snacks. Their bond is deep, sweet, and sometimes hilarious—especially when they insist on sharing the exact same sleeping spot between their humans’ pillows like two fluffy bookends.
Fiora loves naps on her foster dad’s belly, investigating the fenced yard, and sampling every snack known to dogkind, including fruits and veggies like she’s auditioning for a canine grocery-store commercial. She’s quiet, gentle, crate trained, and wonderfully polite. She isn’t leash trained yet and can freeze like a tiny statue if you try, so a fenced yard is important for her. She’s also a master at the cozy lifestyle, happy to curl up in bed any time of day and claim her spot as if she pays rent.
Life hasn’t always been kind to Fiora—her little ears and tail show signs of a rough past—but she is healing beautifully in a calm home with patient humans and another dog by her side. She has so much love to give once she feels safe. She sneaks sweet kisses, wiggles softly for pets, and has a gentle sparkle that you can’t help but fall for. She truly thrives with another dog, and she would be over the moon to be adopted with her foster fur sibling Isley, if you’re looking for a sweet pair!
Fiora is a soft, tender soul with a silly streak waiting to bloom. Whoever adopts her gets the sweetest gift: a quiet, gentle companion who loves deeply, naps often, and finds joy in the little things—especially if those little things are snacks.
Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
